In order to tailor the massage session we'll start with a brief consultation about specific problem areas you may want to address, medical history, pressure preferences and anything else that I'd need know beforehand. Based on these details I intuitively combine a mix of styles best suited to your goals. Every body is different so I adapt to what works well for you.
A single session could include deep tissue/remedial techniques involving myofascial and trigger point work alongside assisted stretching with relaxing and flowing massage strokes. The addition of hot stones, hot towels and hot oil creates a deeper level of relaxation that instinctively encourages people to let go of tension. The movement of the hot stones as an extension of the massage is a wonderful way to integrate deep tissue work. Bamboo sticks can be used on larger muscle groups when strong broad stretching is required.
